The hotel business is one of the fastest developing areas in the Polish economy. Throughout the country we now have over 3550 establishments offering accommodation, a category that includes: 1202 hotels, 144 motels and 395 boarding houses. In addition we have holiday camps and training centres, offering a total of 209,000 beds. According to forecasts by the Institute of Tourism, the number of hotels, motels and boarding houses will grow rapidly. In 2007 there will be over 1,400 hotels in Poland. Market analysts expect that the time for budget-priced accommodation, quite scarce in Poland at the moment, is approaching. The number of one- and two-star hotels will grow most rapidly.
Hotels are already functioning in 270 districts (powiats), representing over 70% of the total number of these facilities. Most of the world's leading hotels chains have already invested in Poland. Polish hotels are also appearing that are an interesting alternative to global brands. Our monthly World of Hotels (Swiat Hoteli) is published for investors, hotel, boarding house, motel and holiday hostel owners, managers of accommodation establishments and companies providing services for the hotel business. Our weekly e-service Polish Hotel Market is addressed to managers, investors and suppliers of fittings. Each year we organise the Hotel Business Forum ProfitHotel, the most important meeting in Poland for the business, and the sector's experts from Poland and abroad, which provides a forum for a direct exchange of opinions and experiences.
